DeGol Carpet began its recycling program back in 1998, and today our center recycles a wide range of materials including:

Carpet

We have shipped over 25,800 pounds of carpet to Foam Recycle Center, Inc. and over 19,800 pounds of carpet to Tandus to be recycled.

Padding

We acquired our own baler in 2000. When we started in 1998 we stored the used padding in a trailer, took it to a neighboring plant to have it bailed from and from there shipped it for recycling.

Cardboard

We started our recycling of cardboard in 2005.  We recycle all flooring product packaging and office materials as well as carpet cores.

Plastic

Wooden Skids

Wooden skids are recycled into mulch by a local company.

Parts of the DeGol Organization have been recognized a statewide "Waste Watcher" designation for our relentless efforts at recycling. As a well established company, DeGol is also commited to our community in developing safer and more efficient bussinesses, schools, and health care facilities.

DeGol isn't just recycling. We're also big on energy conservation.  At DeGol Carpet we have adopted the latest fluorescent, T-8 lighting technologies.  Since beginning January 2009, we have reduced our electricity usage by over 23%!
